Specs:
This duffel-style cargo bag lets you carry 4.2 cu ft of gear on your vehicle's bare roof, roof rack, or cargo basket. You can also secure it to a hitch-mounted cargo carrier or simply throw it in your trunk or truck bed. It includes a removable shoulder strap that makes it easy to carry the bag away from your vehicle. The bag is constructed of waterproof material that helps to keep your gear clean and dry, and it has a large zippered opening on the top for easy loading.
The rooftop cargo bag is made of PVC that's reinforced with a polyester mesh grid so it's hard to cut or tear. This durable fabric is waterproof, and it stays flexible in hot or cold temperatures so it can be folded compactly for storage. The PVC mesh is also fused together at the seams to create a watertight seal, and it's also UV protected so it won't fade.
A large zippered opening on top of the bag makes it easy to load and unload your cargo. The urethane-coated zipper is rust and corrosion resistant, and it's protected from the elements by a flap with a hook-and-loop fastener.
The zippered side pocket provides convenient storage for the bag's shoulder strap or attachment straps when not in use. It's also great for storing smaller items like keys and cash. It has a urethane-coated zipper that is rust and corrosion resistant.
You can mount the Rightline bag to a bare roof using the included adjustable straps with rubber-coated steel hooks. These straps adjust with integrated buckles, and the hooks firmly grip the top of each doorframe.
The hooks require solid mounting points such as rain gutters, metal ledges, the outside of the weather molding, or ledges under the weather molding. Each hook has a 5/8" opening to fit over the door ledge. Your vehicle's doors should close easily over the hooks to secure them in place. The rubber coating on the hooks protects your vehicle from scratches. The attachment straps thread through D-rings on the bag for added security.
A roof pad (RL100650 - sold separately) is also available to keep the duffel bag from sliding around and to protect the top of your vehicle from scratches.
To attach the bag to a roof rack or basket, just remove the hooks from the strap ends and use the straps to tie down the duffel bag.
You can place up to 4 Rightline duffel bags side by side on top of your vehicle, depending on the width of your roof. Get a bag for each member of the family, and everyone can grab their gear and go at the end of any journey.
The adjustable nylon shoulder strap allows you to comfortably transport the bag to and from your vehicle. This strap can be removed and stored in the bag when not in use.
There are also handles on each end of the bag that make it easy to lift and load.

Collin: Hey everyone, it's Collin here at etrailer. Today we're going to take a look at the waterproof duffel bags from Rightline Gear. Now this duffle bag is going to be a really great addition to get any sports equipment, luggage, clothes, stored on the outside of your vehicle in a our waterproof, tight, sealed bag. So that you can create more space on the inside for passengers, cargo, anything like that. Now right here, you can see all of the equipment we have in the back of our vehicle right now. Let's go ahead and load it up into our Rightline Gar bag, so we can see the difference it makesSo now, as you can see, we've got the cargo area empty in the back of our SUV.
We've got more space to store luggage or anything we don't want to exposed to the elements, that won't fit in our duffle bags. We could flip the seats up and get more passengers inside. And as you saw, we had a lot of sets of shoes in there, that we use for really rigorous activities, soccer cleats, running shoes, basketball shoes and after using those, they aren't going to smell the greatest. Personally, I would rather not have those in my cargo area, where this stench could leak up to where I'm driving. That's not going to be too pleasant.
So, we just took them all, threw them in our bag, problem solved. Now as you can see, there's still a lot of space on the inside of our bag, so we can put more equipment in there if we need to.Now right now you can see, we have two bags loaded up in our cargo carrier. But, I do want to point out that your kits just going to come with one waterproof duffel bag, as well as the straps you need to secure it. Whether it's in your cargo carrier, in a roof mounted basket, wherever is convenient for you. And it's also going to come with a shoulder strap, so you can carry it very easily to your destination. The fabric is really tough and durable.
It's reinforced to help it avoid tears and snags. It's also waterproof with a PVC coating, so it's going to keep all of your contents on the inside safe and dry from the rain. It's also going to be UV resistant, so it's going to avoid fading over time.Right here, we have a good look at the inside of our bag. You can see it's very spacious. We do have a plastic reinforcement piece on the bottom, so that if you pile up your gear in here and it gets pretty heavy, it's not going to bow out the bottom of your bag.
Right here we have a good look at the plastic piece. It just inserts into the slip at the bottom of the bag. It's going to provide a really nice bottom of the bag, for all your stuff to sit. When you set it down, it's going to also protect it from any major impacts. Now just to give you an idea of if this is going to fit in your application, whether it's your cargo carrier or a cargo basket on top of your roof, and to give you an idea of if it's going to fit all of your cargo, whatever you want to put inside, it is going to hold 4.2 cubic feet of cargo inside the bag. The dimensions of the bag are as follows. 30 inches long. 14 and three quarters of an inch wide. 16 and a half inches tall. The bag is going to have a side pocket. It's going to measure seven inches tall by seven inches wide. It's going to be good for storing you shoulder strap, the straps to use to secure it inside your carrier or even smaller items, such as your phone, keys and wallet. If you are carrying around your bag. Both sides are going to have these durable handles, so if you just need to lift up off your cargo carrier, set it in the garage, you can do so. Or if you have to carry all the way into your house, maybe upstairs to your bedroom, we can take the shoulder strap and connect it to the four points on the outside of our bag. We'll start right here, pull down on the hook like so, and then we're going to have three more points to connect. From here, I can get it up on my shoulders to make it much easier to carry. Maybe even grab the second bag, if I need to. Your kits also going to come with two of these car clips, which you can connect to your straps to secure it to your naked roof. However, in our experience with these hooks, we haven't found a good spot to connect them on a lot of different vehicles we've tried, such as sedans, the SUVs. That's not to say it's not going to work with any vehicle. If you find that this works for the application, then feel free to use them. Now there's a nice flap, as you saw, with the hook and loop fasteners all around it, to help make sure no water gets towards the zipper. However, if any water we're to get onto your zipper, it is urethane coated, so it is going to help resist rust and corrosion and it's going to add to its waterproofness. If you're really liking this bag right now, but you think it's a little bit of overkill, you don't need that much space inside the bag. There is a smaller version of this available on our website. It has the same exact features, except instead of 4.2 cubic feet of storage space on the inside, you're going to have 2.1, so if that's something you're interested in, just check out our website.I really liked these duffle bags, compared to a lot of other waterproof bags that you might find from Rightline Gear or any other manufacturer. One thing I like is that, rather than having a really big bag that you put on top of your roof and secure it, those are nice, but these are more versatile. So, if you have space in the inside of your vehicle, you could toss them in there if you want. I can maneuver these by myself when they're full. Rather than that cargo bag, you have to empty it out to get it off. Like I said, you could toss them in your vehicle if you have enough space and it'll do just fine.Well, thank you all for watching and I hope this information helped you out. That's going to do it for our look at the Rightline Gear waterproof duffle bags.

Carry this duffel-style cargo bag on your roof, then take it with you when you arrive. Waterproof material, covered zippers, and welded seams keep gear clean and dry. Mounts to a bare roof, roof rack, or cargo basket with included clips and straps. We used 2 of these bags on the roof of our Chevy Bolt to help us move across the country. It was really convenient to be have large roof storage while being able to easily carry the bags into our hotel room each night for security. We used the included straps to thread through the bags' strap holes and cinched them down to our roof rails. There was no shifting at all. We just put towels underneath to protect the car paint. Overall, very happy with the purchase.
The rain proof duffle bag is extremely well made. This duffle bag will be used on a luggage rack located on the back of my motorcycle. I needed a bag that was well made that could with stand all the abuse of the open road. The choice of this bag took me a while but the help from their excellent and patient sales lady helped me make the right decision. I would definitely order from etrailer again.
